Background
When my husband and I moved to Iowa about 10 years ago, we knew this is where we wanted to establish our life as a young growing family. Born and raised throughout the midwest, there was something special about Iowa; It was now a place we called home.
Growing up with strong biblical and conservative values, I have always been drawn to public service. Both of my parents showed me what it meant to serve others in the community through their involvement and volunteering with the local fire department. From a young age, I was surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents who selflessly put others first.
Lifestyle
After securing a Bachelor degree in Hospitality Tourism and Business Management from Purdue University alongside my husband, we went from working in the restaurant/hotel and retail management to completely shifting gears. My husband completed the Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship out of Local 55 where he continues to support our family today and I am fulfilling my dream of being a stay-at-home wife and mother while our children are young.
Why
That is, until our children entered school and our experience was so far from what I had hoped. Parents that held a certain set of beliefs in the public school system were shoved aside. There’s no denying that the pandemic was a pivotal moment for many of us. For me, I could no longer sit back and allow for this overreach to continue and for the school to assert their place over the parents. And so, I ran for the Linn-Mar Board of Directors in 2021.
In doing so, I experienced more than I ever would have imagined. The lies, verbal attacks, sabotage and vandalism came out in full force. Who knew an unapologetic Christian mother would cause such a tizzy from the Radical Left.
Hope
Embracing courage, not of my own, I decided to start an organization to continue working with teachers, parents and community members to be a voice for truth. Our mission is to fight for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government.
My story began as a concerned parent simply protecting my children when they needed it the most but it grew in a direction I never thought possible. I quickly got involved in the local Republican Party where I served on several committee’s including Election Integrity, Voter Engagement, Fundraising and my favorite, the Advisory Committee. Most recently, I was elected as an Alternate Delegate for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee where I had the most incredible time!
Supporting the limited role of government, strengthening parental rights, advocating for common sense policy and electing constitutional leadership is what I will continue to focus on, however I am called to do so.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my story.
As a mom who chooses to fight for the survival of America, I am asking you to JOIN ME by making a contribution today.
